Review
The Review tab is the primary place where you can review the results of Norm's regulatory evaluations of your Submission and where you can mark up a Submission and create custom Comments.
The Review view contains pieces of compliance feedback that the Norm Regulatory AI Agent has surfaced. This feedback is surfaced via "Comments" and in this workflow you are able to:
- View and action your Review Comments moving them across statuses.
- Filter your Review Comments.
- Create new, custom Review Comments.
A Review Comment is the primary unit of work in the Norm platform. Review Comments are very feature rich and give you a great deal of information. Some of the most important elements of a Review Comment are:
- Excerpt: the particular place in the content that the Comment was generated from. You can click the excerpt box and the document viewer will take you to that excerpt on the right side of the screen, and highlight it for you.
- Action Items or Suggested Language: this is the compliance feedback related to the content excerpt, or the work that you have to do on the Comment.
- Note: for Suggested Language Comments, you can iterate on the suggestion by describing changes to improve it and clicking "Generate."
- Explanation: this is the reason that this piece of compliance feedback (i.e., Comment) has been surfaced. You can get both a first level and second level more detailed explanation here. This will also link you to the relevant piece of the regulation the feedback is coming from.
There are 4 statuses for Review Comments, which you can filter for. By default, the Comments will have a status of “Open”, denoting that you need to review and action them (note: you can “un-do” accepted and dismissed Comments).
- Accepted: you can move a Comment to "Accepted" to denote that you have actioned or will action the feedback.
- Dismissed: you can move a Comment to "Dismissed" to denote that you have not or will not action the feedback (unless you choose to “To discuss with Norm Team”).
- Pending Validation: indicates a Comment that needs additional information to determine certainty in regulatory compliance.
There are three types of Norm Ai generated Review Comments:
- Suggested Language: Norm’s AI agent provides recommendations for promissory and/or over-exageratory language.
- Content Revision: this Comment flags more technical pieces of compliance feedback and requires adding more balanced context.
- Informational: when Norm AI needs more information to align a statement with a piece of Regulatory feedback.
There is a fourth Comment type is supported through Norm’s collaboration features:
- Add a New, Custom Annotation Comment: click the annotation button to create a new, custom Comment. You can also tie these custom Comments for a particular excerpt.
- Reply: Reply on the Comment and mention team members by typing "@" and then their name. This will send them a notification in the app as well as via email.
